Cookie policy

Cookies are small files a website stores on your device to remember things about you. This page explains how this website uses them, in line with the UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). The short version: barely at all.

What we use

Cookies. None. This website sets no cookies at all: no analytics, no advertising, no tracking. We do not use Google Analytics or similar tools, and we do not embed third-party widgets that set their own cookies.

One piece of local storage. When you answer the cookie banner, your device keeps a small note of your answer (in your browser’s local storage, not a cookie) so we do not ask you on every visit. It records nothing except the choice you made and when you made it, it never leaves your device, and it does not identify you. Under UK law, remembering a preference you have expressly asked for does not require consent.

Your choice

When you first visit, a banner tells you the position and asks you to acknowledge it. Nothing optional is set whatever you choose, because there is nothing optional to set. If we ever want to introduce analytics or any other optional cookies, we will not rely on the answer you gave today. We will update this page first and ask you again, specifically and clearly, before anything new is set. Optional cookies would stay off until you said yes at that point. You can clear your recorded choice at any time using the button below, and you can block or delete cookies and site data through your browser settings whenever you like. The website will keep working if you do.

Third-party links

Pages on this site link to external services such as LinkedIn. Once you follow those links you are on someone else’s website and their cookie policies apply, not ours.
