What was the core challenge?

Senior ethics and compliance professionals need more than technical knowledge. Their effectiveness also depends on judgement, influence and the confidence to turn ethical principles into everyday organisational practice.

How did we structure the solution?

In 2023 and 2024, Snowfish worked with Integrity Matters to support its Make Ethics Real retreats. Jason helped develop a bespoke competency framework defining the capabilities required to perform the role effectively, then designed and built an interactive self-reflection tool around it.

On completing the diagnostic, each participant received a personalised spider chart showing their confidence profile against the anonymised average for their peers. The visual comparison helped participants recognise strengths, identify development priorities and arrive at the retreat with a richer understanding of their own practice.

What was the measurable impact?

The profiles were revisited during the retreats as a shared, evidence-based starting point for facilitated reflection and discussion. Jason also attended and presented at several retreats, connecting the digital experience with the live conversations.

The result was a thoughtful blend of competency modelling, personalised diagnostic feedback and human dialogue, using technology to create better professional conversations rather than replace them.
